TGIFS – My take on the probowl

If you’ve been following me on this blog, you know I love football. This weeks TGIFS is a little different. I don’t like the probowl at all! It’s a flawed voting system, a poorly scheduled game and the quality of play on the field is often a joke. I think it’s been years since I even bothered to watch a full game. I’ll admit I tried to watch a little last year but after all the players in the superbowl are ruled out, the remaining “injured” players defer and the replacements for all the 1st, 2nd or 3rd stringers are in, it’s not the same.

If I had one wish, I would wish this game gone.

Heck, fantasy football is much more fun than this game.

I usually blog about food and beer pairings at this point. Not so today. I’m going to suggest you take your significant other out to dinner and remind him or her that you are still a fun person to be with outside of football Sunday. I’d love it if you hit a place that carried White Birch on tap, but today that’s a growing but still limited selection. I would suggest you go to your significant other’s favorite establishment and have a great time. It’ll build up some bonus points for next Sunday when you have one last great game to get absorbed by.

Happy non-football Sunday to all.

Cheers,

Bill
