The last game before the big bowl. Could you ask for a better lineup of games than this? Niners vs. the Seahawks. Denver vs. our Pats. The best of the NFL duke it out for the right to go to the big game. Our offense hasn’t been a glamour offense but with all the players lost on both sides of the ball we’re here. There are 28 other teams that wish they could be in this spot right now.
If you’ve talked beer with me you probably heard me say at one time or another that we’re in the golden age of beer choice for the consumer. Well, we are. I would go so far as to say we’re in the golden age of the Patriots dynasty too. Seriously, stop and just think how long it’s been that we’e been able to look forward to the playoffs. Doesn’t 2002 seem like just yesterday? The underdog Pats vs the greatest show on turf? Seems like today. Our underdog Pats are going against the most prolific offense in the history of the NFL. We’re expected to loose by almost every talking head and Vegas. Good thing the game is played on the field. I like our chances and I love our running game.
So what’s the food for today? How about BBQ chicken, pesto pizza? It’s good! Here’s the skinny on how I made it.
Pizza Dough – outlined here
6 diced roma tomatoes
2 cups of shredded mozzarella
5 star BBQ Catering of Manchester NH – bbq pulled chicken.

Make the dough and roll it out. Layer it with the fresh cut tomatoes. You can use pizza sauce if you prefer. Layer the cheese and then smother with the pulled chicken. Put pesto around the crust. I like to put 5 dots of pesto about 2 inches from the edge of the cheese around the pizza. Sort of a flavor surprise. Cook for 30 minutes at 350.
This is a huge pie. Fork and knife affair. I’ll be enjoying mine with a tasty Hop Session. I hope you enjoy the game today with friends, family good food and of course great beer!
