Week three is upon us. Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same. After week one I don’t think I could’ve taken another article about how Philly was going to revolutionize the NFL with their fast break offense. After their third game they’re top 5 for average speed of play yet they are 1 win, two losses. Guess defense is still important and classic Vick reared his bad habits on thursday.
Tampa comes to town a mess worse than our receiver situation. Their franchise QB has regressed to Tebow levels minus the weird ways to win. Yesterday they released Peyton Hillis. Don’t know who he is? He was the Browns running back that was unreal a few years ago and made the cover of Madden. Look up the curse of Madden, Hillis is now the posterboy. The defense is looking good although at the rate they are going Ownership is going to pay fines too for the penalty hits their D is making. Speaking of that, maybe this is the game that Dashon gets thrown out for a stupid hit.
Feeling better about our Pats today? I am. I think week three will show some progress in between our receiving corps and Brady. Let’s face it, they can’t cant worse can they? If you’re thinking yes then I’m not acknowledging you. I also think our D is getting better and will feast on the Tampa disarray.
For today’s game I am making the following items:
Burner Burgers (inspired by Hooksett’s own Taphouse)
- 1 lb of 85% lean ground turkey
- 4 jalapenos
- Helluva Good cheddar jack bar of cheese
- Roma tomatoes
- Red onion
- Hamburger buns
Split the ground turkey into 4 equal patties. Cut the jalapenos in half and seed if you want less heat. Grill the burgers and jalapenos at the same time. The jalapenos will become soft and get some black marks on them by the time the burgers are done. Put the jalapenos on the burger and cover with a 1/4 slice of the cheddar while on the grill. Melt the cheese and remove. On my burger I’ll garnish it with a slice of red onion and two slices of tomato.
- 1 potato
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of corn starch
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut a potato into thin slices. I happen to have a fry slicer that makes this easy. Microwave for three minutes on high. Mix the corn starch into the olive oil. Put the fries on an oven safe pan. I use a stoneware cookie sheet. Brush on the olive oil mixture. Bake for 23 minutes.
