Our Saison was last brewed in 2010 and returned to the lineup as a fall seasonal in 2013.
“Saison”, French for season, were ales traditionally brewed in the autumn or winter to refresh farm workers during the harvest. Our Saison is spicy with mild citric fruit notes and a crisp finish. An ode to tradition, we salute all who till and toil to bring fruit from the earth.
We only brew our Saison once a year in the summer to take advantage of the higher temperatures. Our Saison yeast loves to ferment when it’s warm out resulting in a slightly hazy golden colored beer with wonderful peppery notes and a crisp dry finish. Balanced, nuanced and great with fish, steak or rich cheeses.
